New addition to Herbs and Butters Skincare Collection!

We would like to introduce our new addition to Herbs and Butters Skincare Collection:

Vitamin C serum with Licorice Root!

Combined benefits of active ingredients Vitamin C, Niacinamide, N-acetyl Glucosamine with one of the world’s oldest herbal remedies, Licorice root, it offers brightening, antioxidant and skin-soothing properties. It took 7 month of research and development to create this high-performance product. We love it and I think you’ll love it too!

Why is it so special? THE INGREDIENTS!

The major key ingredient, Vitamin C, is the go-to ingredient to repair uneven skin tone, rough texture, fine lines, acne scars, general dullness. Vitamin C is an essential nutrient required for the growth and repair of tissues in all parts of the body, including the skin, but we cannot produce it on our own. Instead, the only way to get it is through supplements or your diet — citrus fruits like oranges are famously rich in vitamin C. While you can certainly eat your way to a healthy vitamin C intake, your skin will benefit when it’s applied topically versus ingested via an oral supplement or your diet. Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that can neutralize free radicals, helping to offset daily aggressors like UV damage and exposure to air pollution. Vitamin C also plays an important role in collagen synthesis. Collagen gives our skin support and structure, and as it degrades with age, we begin to notice wrinkles and lines. Vitamin C contains a property that inhibits skin's melanin production, which is what causes skin discoloration like dark spots and hyperpigmentation.

Another active ingredient in the formula is Vitamin B3, also known as niacinamide. Niacinamide is a precursor (necessary for formation) to two super-important biomolecules: nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate. These biomolecules are central to the chemical reactions that your cells, including skin cells, need to repair damage, propagate, and function normally. Evidence (*) suggests that topical application of niacinamide can improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation spots, fine lines and wrinkles.

N-acetyl glucosamine, another ingredient on the formula, is precursor of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a fundamental component of skin since it’s responsible for helping skin to maintain normal hydration and elasticity. N-acetyl glucosamine has also been shown to be effective in reducing visible discolorations when paired with the niacinamide and can help reinforce skin’s supportive elements.

Last, but not the least, Licorice Root, has been used for medicinal purposes for years, and is filled with a variety of beneficial compounds, which do everything from deliver antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects to help fade dark spots.
